I received my PhD in Linguistics from the University of Toronto in 2024. I am currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Linguistics at UCLA working with Michelle Yuan. My research is in theoretical syntax and its interface with morphology. The primary focus of my work has been on endangered and understudied languages within the Iranian language family. Much of my work revolves around phenomena related to case and agreement, argument structure and predicate formation. In my dissertation, I explored the nuanced microvariation of ergative patterns across several dialects of Kurdish (Northwestern Iranian). My research explores topics also within the syntax of nominals including definiteness and nominal linkers. Additionally, I am interested in morphological processing and have worked on lexical access and derivational gaps in English.
